Organisation Setup
Configure your organisation, sites, and areas so the platform can scope reports and operations.
Set up your organisation early so reports, patrols, and access control data map correctly to the right locations.
Organisation creation and initial admin access are typically handled by the Community Wolf team.
Key concepts
- Organisation: Your top-level account that owns sites, areas, staff, and data.
- Site: A physical location (building, estate, facility) that staff operate in.
- Area: A geographic boundary used for filtering reports and map layers.
- Staff: Field staff who interact with WhatsApp agents.
- Skills: Capabilities assigned to staff and sites (for example, patrols or licence disc logging).
Initial setup checklist
Confirm organisation details
Ensure your organisation name, branding, and default settings are correct.
Create areas
Draw polygons or import GeoJSON boundaries for the locations you cover.
Add sites
Add each site and link it to an area so reports can be scoped correctly.
Add staff and assign skills
Create staff profiles, assign sites, and apply the WhatsApp skills they need.
Configure business tools
Enable Access Control (Gatekeeper), Patrol Management, Safety Survey, and Group Agents as needed.
Site and area mapping
Reports are scoped using geospatial matching. Each site references one or more areas, and reports are filtered based on whether a report location falls inside those areas. Keep your area boundaries accurate to avoid missing reports on the map or in the report list.
